Zanzibar Package Overview
Zanzibar is a semiautonomous archipelago located 6 degrees south of the Equator and 22 miles off the cost of East Africa. It comprises the islands of Unguja, Pemba and a number of smaller islands and collectively they form part of Tanzania, East Africa. The total population of Zanzibar is approximately 1.1 Million people and the economy is largely based on agriculture although tourism has become a strong contributor to the economy in the last few years. Zanzibar’s rich heritage of culture, defined as Swahili, meaning “coastal”, is a blend of influences from the African mainland and the nations bordered by the Indian Ocean all the way to China. Influences range from the early settlers from Africa’s interior to early sea¬ faring Assyrians, Sumerians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, to later day Persians, Omanis, Indians, Chinese, Portuguese and the English.
Day wise Itinerary
DAY 1: Nairobi– Zanzibar
Welcome to bonfire international package to Zanzibar. Take a flight to Zanzibar where you will be met by Dream World Destinations representative just outside of the arrival. The representative will be showing your name in the singn board. Pick up will depends on your flight details. You will be transferred to the hotel and have a restful day.
Day 02: ‘Zanzibar Mnemba Island and Sunset Cruise
After Breakfast our guide will pick you and take you together with others on a full day tour by dhow to visit an Island where you will spend the day sailing, snookering and swimming with the dolphins in the serene Indian Ocean. Seafood and barbecue luncheon will be served in the white sandy island as u relax and get a chance to network with other holiday makers in this excursion from all over the world. Then return to the hotel for further relaxation and freshening up. In the evening, our tour guide will pick you from the hotel together with others and take you to the beach where you will take a motor boat or dhow to enjoy a sunset cruise to enjoy sundowners at the best view point as drinks and snacks will be served. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight
Days Stone Town, Spice Farm & Prison Island
On this day, you will explore by testing, smelling different spices grown and used in Zanzibar cuisines; Cardamom, Cinnamon, Black peppers, Cloves and so on.
Learn the History & culture of Zanzibar locals with a local professional tour guide in Stone Town by visiting most iconic places.
Enjoying delicious local made Spiced rice lunch in the farm with fresh fishes and fruits like banana, Mangoes, Pineapple and so on.
Witness and take photos of the Aldabra giant tortoises in the Prison Island. And learn the short history of the Prison island.
Days 3 - Relaxation
Relax on the beach
Spend the next two days at leisure, relaxing on one of Zanzibar's beautiful white sands and soaking up the sunshine.
For those feeling active, there's a wide range of excursions available. Perhaps opt for a spot of snorkeling or scuba diving to see the incredible coral reefs teeming with exotic fish and perhaps the odd dolphin in the azure waters. Other activities in or above the water include fishing, windsurfing or various boat trips. Traditional dhow cruises are offered by the locals and are a great way to see the local lifestyle or island hop to some of the smaller uninhabited islands. Also consider a day trip to Jozani Chwaka Bay national Park - home to the rare Kirk's Red Colobus Monkey, Syke's Monkey and Ader's Duiker.
Day 05: Departure Zanzibar to Nairobi
Check out your room and relax at the hotel or beach as you capture the last beach pictures .when you will be picked by our representative who will transfer you to airport for your flight back home
