Day 1
Nairobi/Mara
A trip in the early morning to the Masai Mara National Reserve is highly recommended, as it is one of the few remaining locations on Earth where large populations of species from Africa's plains and forests still dwell relatively undisturbed. Thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and accompanying predators engage in a dramatic seasonal migration through the Mara, the northernmost point of the huge Serengeti ecosystem. Get there in time for lunch, then go on a game drive in the afternoon.
Main Destination: Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 2
Maasai Mara
We have a full day of drive after breakfast, with a packed lunch. In addition to having a wealth of resident species and being one of the few locations where one may view the big five on a morning game drive, the reserve is well-known for its black-manned lion. Many cheetahs are so gentle that they would hide beneath a car to avoid the heat, and some even climb up onto the roof to get a closer look at potential prey.
Almost 500 species of birds are known to bird enthusiasts, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 vulture species, 8 stork species, 4 bustard species (including the Kori bustard, the biggest flying bird in the world), and 9 species of of sun birds.

The most well-known lake in the rift valley, Lake Nakuru, is located south of Bogoria, across the equator. After an early morning pickup, visitors can drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Recognized as one of the world's natural marvels, it is alkaline and well-known for its flamingo population. Of course, the biggest draw has always been the flamingos, but Lake Nakuru is now home to over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, as well as a rhino sanctuary. Approximately two million flamingos can occasionally be found in the area, creating an exquisitely gorgeous deep pink border along the lake's edge. Get there in time for lunch, then go on a game drive in the afternoon.
