2-Day Horseback Safari (Lake Elementaita)

Explore one of Kenya's most stunning natural areas with a horseback safari at Lake Elementaita, located in the Great Rift Valley. Renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and rich birdlife, this safari offers a unique and exhilarating way to connect with nature.

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Elementaita

Depart early from Nairobi and head towards Lake Elementaita.

9:30 AM: Arrive at your camp near Lake Elementaita. Check in and freshen up. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge with views of the lake and its beautiful surroundings.

Noon: Before the horse ride, wear comfortable riding clothes, including long pants, boots, and a hat. Bring sunscreen, insect repellent, and a light jacket for cooler evenings.

2:00 PM: Meet your guides and horses. Receive a safety briefing and an introduction to horseback riding if needed. Set off for an introductory ride along the shores of Lake Elementaita. Return to the lodge as the sun sets, creating a picturesque backdrop. Freshen up and enjoy a hearty dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Lake Elementaita

Start your day with a morning hot coffee at the lodge and head out for a 2-hour horseback ride, exploring further into the surrounding areas. Ride through diverse terrains, including savannahs, rocky outcrops, and more remote parts of Soysambu Conservancy. Return to your lodge, freshen up, and enjoy your breakfast before checking out for Nairobi.
