Overview
Mount Longonot is an extinct volcano in the Great Rift Valley. One of its unique features is the thick forest that grows within the mountain. The rim of the crater offers stunning views of the picturesque Rift Valley, which extends all the way to Lake Naivasha. Notable wildlife in the area includes buffaloes, elands, lions, leopards, bushbucks, common zebras, giraffes and Grant's gazelles.
