SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

The adventure begins with a 7:00 AM departure from Nairobi or Nakuru, traveling along the Great North Road through Kenya’s central highlands. A brief stop at the Equator Crossing in Nanyuki offers a chance for photography and a fascinating Coriolis Effect demonstration. By 12:30 PM, travelers arrive at Samburu National Reserve, check into their lodge or camp, and enjoy a delicious lunch.
After a short rest, the safari kicks off with an afternoon game drive at 3:30 PM, exploring the semi-arid landscape and spotting elephants, lions, and leopards. As the sun sets, visitors return to their lodge or camp for a delightful dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
The second day begins with an early breakfast at 7:00 AM, preparing for a full day of adventure. The morning game drive at 8:00 AM offers spectacular wildlife sightings, including the Samburu Special Five and large elephant herds. Samburu’s rugged terrain and acacia woodlands provide excellent photography opportunities.
At 12:30 PM, visitors enjoy lunch at a scenic spot near the Ewaso Nyiro River, where crocodiles and hippos thrive. After lunch, the safari continues with a visit to Buffalo Springs, a natural oasis attracting diverse wildlife. The afternoon game drive at 3:30 PM offers another chance to spot predators like cheetahs and leopards. As the day winds down, travelers return to their lodge or camp for a relaxing evening, enjoying dinner and sharing stories of their wildlife encounters.
The final day of the safari begins with breakfast at 7:00 AM, followed by leisure time at the lodge before check-out. At 10:00 AM, travelers depart from Samburu, embarking on the journey back to Nairobi or Nakuru. The drive offers one last chance to soak in the beauty of Kenya’s landscapes before arriving at the final destination by 2:00 PM, marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience.
